Downunder, we get lots of sunshine and through summer it’s scorching. Some days you’ll burn in a matter of minutes which can lead to a very uncomfortable week or two, but there are potentially long-lasting effects. Google has decided to help you avoid that nasty burn by adding a UV index to the WearOS weather app.

The change is simply that the UV index for your location will display in the WearOS Weather app. It’s a small feature addition, but it can make a big difference to users health. At the moment we’re yet to see it on our devices, but it seems — based on the tweet — the UV index should simply appear on your watch based on location.
