In line with their growth as a recognisable phone manufacturer, Huawei has also undertaken a more forward looking perspective when it comes to software updates. Though they haven’t been known previously as having a great record with phone updates, with the launch of Marshmallow, Huawei has listed which of their already released phones will get an Android 6.0 update.
The update to Android 6.0 won’t be a stock experience of course, Huawei has for the last few years been delivering phones with their own custom Android skin, EMUI.
The phones listed are typically the latest and greatest and basically the more recent devices the company has released, on the list is the P8, including the Youth and Max versions, Mate, G series and Honor branded devices also get a look in.
The list includes:
Translated the list reads:
- Huawei P8
- Huawei P8 Youth Edition (Version?)
- Huawei P8 Max
- Huawei Mate 7
- Huawei Mate S
- Huawei G7
- Huawei G7 Plusv
- Huawei G8
- Huawei Honor 7

- Huawei Honor 6 Plus
- Huawei Honor 6
- Huawei X2

Huawei has said that they hope to bring the update to phones from November, though that will obviously be dependent on carrier testing in different markets. We’ll keep you updated about any local developments as they hit our shores.
