As we approach the rumoured August release date of the latest in Samsung’s Galaxy Note line it looks like we may have got our first look at the new device thanks to leakster @OnLeaks.

As he’s done previously, Steve Hemmerstoffer, the man behind the @onleaks twitter account has partnered with rendering company Uswitch who came up with this short video. The renders are based on information he’s received – most likely from case makers who get early access to the physical dimensions of the devices, so take this video with a grain of salt:

Today’s leaked images show renders of both an Edge and traditional variant of the Note 6/7. Take a look below.

Previous rumours have sprung up about Samsung skipping the Note 6 name in favour of aligning the series with the Galaxy S line, which would make this upcoming Note, the Galaxy Note 7.

So, with a grain of salt in mind, the renders combined with recent rumours, we are beginning to get a list of rumoured specs:

  • 5.8″ AMOLED display (both models)
  • QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution
  • Snapdragon 823 or a Exynos 8890 chipset
  • 6GB RAM
  • 32GB internal Storage
  • 4000 mAh battery
  • MicroSD Slot
  • USB-C connector

The inclusion of USB-C is based off the renders so you’ll need and extra grain of salt, but it’s about time that Samsung got onto the USB-C bandwagon.

With only 2 months to wait for the rumoured announcement of the new Galaxy Note we should expect to see a few more rumours circulating. If you’re a Galaxy Note fan, the wait is nearly over.

How is the Galaxy Note 6/7 shaping up for you? Let us know in the comments.
