Google has over the past month been busy releasing AR stickers and Playmoji features to Pixel and other devices. Now the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie is coming to Pixel Phones whilst LG and Moto devices will see Pickachu and other Pokemon AR stickers.

Google overnight announced the news via a blog postthat it was launching a POKÉMON Detective Pikachu Playmoji pack today ahead of the movies release next week. Pixel users will find it in the Playground section of their camera app while users of selected LG and Moto devices will be able to add those Playmoji as AR stickers within the AR section of their native camera app.

Users will be able to partner up with Detective Pikachu, Charizard, Jigglypuff and Mr. Mime to create action-packed scenes in the real world. All you will need to do open the camera app on your smartphone and drop as many of the Playmoji as you like into a scene to bring them to life in your photos and videos.

This is all possible thanks to Google ARCore’s motion tracking, alongside light estimation and the ability to understand the real world, making you feel as if you might even be part of he Pokemon universe or movie.

Users can even take a selfie with Detective Pikachu and share a smile (or laugh maybe) as he reacts to your facial expressions in real time via machine learning.

So if you’re a Pokemon fan (personally I’m a huge Squirtle fan) and have any Google Pixel or selected LG or Moto device, you might want to check out and download the new POKÉMON Detective Pikachu Playmoji pack and AR Stickers, available now.

Don’t forget to share your Pokemon pics and selfies on social media by using the #PikaPlaymoji and #DetectivePikachu hashtags.
