The latest update we have for Android L is the LPV81C build, which Google updated from LPV79 back in early August. But development of Android L – currently thought to be called Lemon Meringue Pie – continues unabated and it seems that a new build of Android L is doing the rounds internally at Google and a video of this build has shown up in the Chromium Tracker.
The video, which Myce who caught the entry in the Chromium Issue Tracker, is of Android L build version LRW87D. The video shows off a crash in the Android Chrome browser, so it’s not terribly exciting, but it does show off some changes within the status and navigation bars. Have a watch and see if you can see the differences:
Notably the icons for the Wifi icon is now without breaks and the clock is a little smaller. The navigation keys are also slightly smaller and a bit more spaced out. Something which can also be seen in recent screenshots added to the Chrome Browser for Android Google Play entry, which also shows off a new white themed Android L Keyboard :
We shouldn’t have to wait too much longer for Android L, or indeed new Nexus devices with rumours stating that Android L and new Nexus phones should be with us by the end of the month.
What do you think of these new buttons and icons?
