Last weeks announcement that Google would be supplying monthly security updates for Nexus devices has gotten off to a slow start. The factory images were made available almost immediately, but Over-the-Air (OTA) updates have been a little slower to appear. This morning we’re seeing a lot of links appearing for Nexus 4, 5, 6 and 10 – though the Nexus 6 seems to be a lot of US-carrier specific updates and we’re looking at which one is which before linking to it.
So, where’s your update? If you can’t wait, grab the zip below and use our handy guide to flash it to your device:
- Nexus 4 – LMY47V to LMY48I
- Nexus 5 – LMY48B to LMY48I
- Nexus 6 – LMY47Z to LMY48I (thanks Scott)
- Nexus 7 (2013)
- Nexus 9
- Nexus 10 – LMY47V to LMY48I
My Nexus 5 update was delivered OTA this morning to a device with a Telstra SIM. That’s good news. Awaiting Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi update. 🙂
hmm… is Android M affected as well? If so is there going to be an update for the developer preview for the Nexus 5?
I was going to ask that for N6. Then I thought I’d do the easy thing and install the Stagefright Detector app from the Play Store. According to that, my N6 running MPZ79M is not vulnerable.
Thanks mate. I didn’t think of that. Ran it on my phone and it says all is ok. Thanks.
