Google’s developer conference Google I/O will be held in Mountain View at the Shoreline Amphitheatre this year, harking back to the origins of the event. Applications to attend the 3-day event, which runs from May 18th to 20th are now being accepted for developers wanting to learn all about what Google has in store for the next year.
Google is accepting applications to attend Google I/O for the next two days, closing the window at 5:00PM PST on March 10th – that’s midday on Friday 11th of March for those of us here in Australia. As Google points out, there’s no need to rush, lucky developers will be drawn from the pool, it’s not a first come, first serve thing so take you time.
You’ll need a current Google account to apply and if you’re successful, you’ll pay $900USD for your ticket ($300USD if you’re a student).
Google will be notifying successful applicants next week via email, with a 24-hour window then open to complete your registration.
Ausdroid is hoping to again attend Google I/O this year, but we’re not a lock as yet, so fingers crossed we can attend and get the low down on the Australian side of any announcements at Google I/O this year. To apply, head over to the Google I/O website and enter your details.
