Australian’s love Instagram filters, with the top filters in Australia listed as Ludwig, Crema, Valencia, Amaro, Slumber – three of which were introduced late last year, and this morning, Instagram has added three more filters to the mix, as well as support for Emoji Hashtags.
The new Instagram filters are called Lark, Reyes and Juno and add new ways to make your photos more enticing to your followers to view. Instagram describes the way each filter works :
A fun fact for this launch is that one of the filters, well, at least the name as far as we can tell – Juno – was inspired by Instagram co-founder, Mike Krieger’s dog who you can follow on Instagram.
The support for Emoji Hashtags came about because of the internets love for these fun little emoticons. Users love to add them to posts on all manner of social media and from today you can add them on Instagram. You can add them to your posts, search for them and use them in captions. You can add single, or multiple emoji in posts, as well as text.
The update is headed to an Instagram app on Android near you, which is available through Google Play. Head over to the Play Store now and check to see if your update is available.
