Halfbrick and Krome Studios have released a addition to the Fruit Ninja family marking the team’s first foray into educational apps with Fruit Ninja Academy: Math Master.
The app is being promoted as the perfect companion to classroom learning, teaching Grade 1 math skills to children aged 5 to 7 years. The app has been kept simple and keeps the Fruit Ninja gameplay that users and fans know and love, which now sees players slicing their way through different math challenges presented in the usual comic-style format.
In Fruit Ninja Academy: Math Master users and students will address a number of key learning areas such as addition, subtraction, skip counting (multiplication), numbers, sequences and shapes. While slicing fruit is fun, there is an over-arching plot line, which is to find the Lost Tablets of Fruitasia, rescue Truffles the Pig, and prove that at the end of the day, learning can be fun.
Shainiel Deo, chief executive at Halfbrick said that the app is
Striking the perfect balance between fun and education was incredibly important. With this release, it’s our belief that even the most reluctant students will feel engaged and supported from beginning to end.
Fruit Ninja Academy: Math Master is also a Halfbrick Child-Safe app which means that the app contains no analytics or data gathering functionality and that it requires no online account or social media login to play and the best part is that it does not include advertising or other promotions of any kind.
Fruit Ninja Academy: Math Master is available to download through Google Play for $6.49, which might seem a little steep, but remember there is no advertisements nor the need to login or sign up to account or though social media accounts.
