The music will be ‘high-fidelity’ with quality aimed at very close to the original sound, with 24bit/192kHz – a quality offered on a number of high-end smartphones from LG including the LG G4, G3, G2 and G Flex 2. Customers able to access the service will be able to download two free Hi-Fi tracks per month with an option to purchase further music at up to 50% off the normal price.

Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications said of the new service:

Our Hi-Fi music service reflects our ongoing commitment to providing additional customer benefits to loyal LG customer. MP3 music is perfectly fine for most people but those with Hi-Fi capable LG smartphones can experience a much richer environment.

We’ll hear more about the launch of the service and exactly which phones will be included in the rollout when it launches later this month.
