LG has today announced a new service which will deliver Hi-Fi music to Premium Smartphone customers across almost 70 countries.

The countries include the United States, Brazil, China, France, Italy, Russia, the United Kingdom and of course Australia, beginning this month. The Hi-Fi music service will be made available via www.lgworld.com as well as through the LG SmartWorld app on selected LG phones.

The music will be ‘high-fidelity’ with quality aimed at very close to the original sound, with 24bit/192kHz – a quality offered on a number of high-end smartphones from LG including the LG G4, G3, G2 and G Flex 2. Customers able to access the service will be able to download two free Hi-Fi tracks per month with an option to purchase further music at up to 50% off the normal price.

Chris Yie, vice president and head of marketing communications for LG Mobile Communications said of the new service:

Our Hi-Fi music service reflects our ongoing commitment to providing additional customer benefits to loyal LG customer. MP3 music is perfectly fine for most people but those with Hi-Fi capable LG smartphones can experience a much richer environment.

We’ll hear more about the launch of the service and exactly which phones will be included in the rollout when it launches later this month.
