Planning a holiday can be a hassle if you’re going somewhere new and want to take in all the sights in a short period of time. Google has recognised this and now the Google app is starting to show the average time people spend at a location
It works on multiple locations, including anywhere from your local corner supermarket to shopping centres and of course major attractions such as Sydney Tower. The time can either be an average or give a range as you can see from the examples below:
Google is very likely pulling the data from the location services on your phone, relax Google isn’t tracking you, it’s simply annonymised data that’s pulled into the big old Google algorithm. We saw something similar to this when Google added the busiest times to the Google App search results last year.
The feature is live now and working in Australia so this could make it a little easier next time you’re planning a visit somewhere.
