Android Pay has been out in Australia for a few weeks now and we are starting to see more developers integrate Google’s payment system into their apps and services. However, as is often the issue with the Play Store discovery can be an issue.
Google has solved that problem, temporarily at least with a new Android Pay feature page. From here you can see all of the apps available in your region. We’re getting mixed results when we use the page some see Australian apps other US-based apps.
Fo me I could see all of the local apps that currently support Android pay including Dominos, Deliveroo, EatNow, Catch of the Dat, Bountye, Hotel Tonight, Vanity and Printicula Photo Printing. Hopefully, these are just the early adopters and more local and international devs are working on integrating Android Pay in the apps. Soon we may see more of the already announced apps as well as some new ones launch the feature.
We haven’t tested all of the apps to see what local functionality they have so if you give them a go should out in the comments below.
