There are plenty of options if you’re after active noise-cancelling headphones. There aren’t too many though, that carry the look, comfort and sound to the same level as the Beoplay H95. The styling is unmistakably Band and Olufsen with slick curves and somewhat understated colouring. They’ve also included lambskin ear cushions with memory foam to ensure you’re comfortable for extended listening.

Looks are nothing without decent sound and controls, as you’d expect from B&O — and of the EUR$800/AU$1,286.00 price tag — the Beoplay H95 ticks all the boxes. The spec list is pretty mighty also, headlined by a 20–22,000 Hz frequency response and aptX adaptive audio. You would hope, that these would sound beyond amazing for the asking price.

There’s plenty more to like too, including:

  • Intuitive user controls to allow quick toggling between noise cancelling options
  • ,Four built-in microphones make calls crystal clear
  • Supports native voice assistant technology
  • 30 – 50 hours of playback on Bluetooth (dependent on ANC use) and 2 hours of charge time
  • The H95 is supplied with an Aluminium carry case for protection

You’ll find other nice to have luxuries in the box too such as a 3.5mm audio cable, a flight adaptor and a microfibre cleaning cloth. They’re great inclusions adding to the perception of value, to assist you in making use of and caring for your investment. It’s also worth noting that the ear cushions can be replaced, meaning that the H95 becomes a longer term investment beyond the three year warranty.

They’re available online in Black, Grey Mist or Gold tone at the B&O website and ship to Australia for the — earlier mentioned — somewhat exorbitant price of EUR$800. You’re definitely paying a premium for the name here over other (Sony, Bose, Sennheiser and even Jabra) ANC headphones, but they’re also a very long term investment.
