The Huawei P9 has now gone on-sale in Australia with Vodafone first out of the gate offering a great deal on a Huawei Watch as a bonus when you order the handset. Optus too is carrying the P9 and is offering the Huawei Watch as a bonus when you sign up to any My Plan Plus or My Plan Business plan while stocks last.

The Huawei P9 is a very nice handset, with a metal unibody design that’s comfortable to hold, with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The 5.2″ FullHD display is covered in 2.5D curved glass and looks amazingly good. The star of the show is of course the dual-lens 12MP sensor on the rear which was engineered with camera and lens maker Leica.

The Huawei P9 review will be coming soon, but having used it for a week, and used the P8 extensively last year this phone has some very, very good hardware. Full specs on the Huawei P9:
