The stakes in the pre-paid data game in Australia have just been raised with Vodafone offering their customers up to 35GB of bonus data.
The offer is valid from today and offers 3.5GB of bonus data per recharge over 10 recharges to any customer who connects or recharges on a $40, $50, $60 Talk or Data Prepaid Combo – that’s 35GB of data, handy in this data hungry world we live in.
The offer isn’t automatically associated with your account, it requires customers to activate it by texting ’35’ to Vodafone (1263) before the 31st of January 2018.
Vodafone’s Consumer Business Unit Director, Ben McIntosh said that this is all part of our promise to give customers more great value.
We changed the prepaid game earlier in the year with our new 35 day expiry plans, now it’s time to mix it up again and give our customers more data for their money during a hugely popular time for data usage. We want our customers to have the confidence to stream, download and embrace social media over the most social time of the year.
Vodafone has also introduced a new digital experience in the My Vodafone app, allowing them to track their bonus data rewards in what Vodafone calls a ‘simple and intuitive way’.

Great for pre paid, it’s a shame that they don’t feel that customers on contracts deserve the same benefit.
Nice little bonus they have introduced… but why do you need to opt in… whats the catch?
Maybe its there way of managing a short term bonus and not impacting their pre-paid plans going forward. Odd.
