If you’re updating your router or have your first Internet connection going in, you’re probably evaluating whether to go with a router or mesh option. Once you’ve made that decision, you’ll be delving into the myriad of brands and options including Wi-Fi 6, which has such massive capability over previous generations. Now Amazon Eero brings a Wi-Fi 6 mesh system to market that could be an affordable option to meet your needs.

Starting at $229.00 the Eero system allows you to build your system as needed, while still giving you a future capable network. The hardware has been designed to fit in, or be relatively easily hidden in almost any setting. All while being the centre for your smart home with a built-in ZigBee hub. The system is designed to be simple to set up and of course, to use making it attainable for any family. Once installed you’ll likely see better Internet speeds to all your devices when streaming, or simply accessing the web.

Security plays a big part in our online lives, Amazon Eero provides a safe space in your home through subscription pathways:

For additional peace of mind, you can add advanced security and privacy features and parental controls with eero Secure. Or sign up for eero Secure+, which provides the additional protection of top-rated security apps like 1Password for password management, Malwarebytes for malware protection, and Encrypt.me for VPN for all your devices.

So there’s plenty to like about the Eero system which is available now through Amazon and retail channels. The Eero 6 costs are $229 for the router only, $199 for an extender or $499 for a three-pack. If you choose to partake of the subscriptions they’ll set you back $4.99 per month or $15.99 per month for eero Secure or eero Secure+ respectively.

I asked eero support about the eero pro 6

He said : The eero 6 also uses a 5ghz wifi backhaul to talk within the mesh, for the record. In regards to why the eero Pro 6 is not released in Australia yet, we are still awaiting certification on that product. As they are different products, as you pointed out. Being triband, there are more radios that need to be tested and made compliant with local regulations. We are working to get eero Pro 6 available in Australia. Once we have the proper certifications, we will do so.
