After appearing at JB Hifi late last month, the Nexus 9 LTE has now shown up on Google Play. The tablet is only available in Indigo Black with 32GB of storage and according to the product page is ready to ship, with stock leaving the warehouse in 1 – 2 business days.

There’s two shipment methods available, depending on how much you want to pay and how fast you want it:

  • Standard (3-5 business days) – $15.00 AUD
  • International Priority (1-3 business days) – $23.00 AUD

The Nexus 9 LTE is currently showing no White option available, nor any sign of the ‘Sand’ coloured option which was announced when the tablet was announced. Hopefully we’ll see the White and Sand models relatively soon. If you’ve been waiting to order a Nexus 9 LTE from Google Play, then here’s your chance.

Why is the storage so small ? If you can buy the Nexus 6 with 64gb wouldn’t it be more important to have the 9 with a minimum of 64gb ? I know Google loves their online stuff but put some video on and you are full. In this online world you are not always online and not always in countries like the US that have larger mobile data allowances.

I’ve got the 2013 nexus 7 WiFi model which is 32gb and I’m getting by just fine. I guess it comes down to how one will utilize that storage, for me my tablet is used as a media tool and playing games mostly and now that MS has office available some documentation I would use it for that’s it. I tend to delete things I don’t use over a period of time.
