Foursquare has announced via its blog new support in its app to work on Android Wear smartwatches.
In the post, Foursquare has said that the app will allow users to quickly search for nearby spots and get helpful tips when you get there, right there from their wrists (adorned with Android Wear smartwatches).
Furthermore, the company has said that by allowing the Foursquare app to work directly from Android Wear watches, it will bypass the need for users to find their Android phone or tablet and then search for the app and open it directly from there. Foursquare has also stated in the post that there will be an Android Wear update to its other app, Swarm, which will be coming soon, though no clear timeline has been given for this to occur.
