Twitter is adding a new feature for users of its mobile app today, which allows users to capture and share videos using direct messages. While users could previously capture and share images via direct message (which were not publicly viewable), being able to share videos wasn’t a thing … until now.

In a clear move at rival social sharing apps like Snapchat, which has allowed sharing of images and photos with users for some time (in fact, as its core offering), Twitter seems to be wanting in on that action as well with this new feature.

The new feature is said to be rolling out to Android and iOS from today, and while we can’t see it immediately on the version of Twitter installed here, it should be available soon.

What videos will you share with your friends via direct messages? Please, let’s hear some creative answers, and not crude ones!
