Samsung may not be launching the Galaxy S8 at Mobile World Congress, but they’ll be launching something and from the looks of their press invite that something is the Galaxy Tab S3.
There’s been rumours and leaks pointing to a launch of the Galaxy Tab S3 and the press invite would seemingly confirm it. That picture included certainly looks Galaxy shaped, and we know that the S8 won’t be making an appearance.
The press invite sets the date, time and location for the launch with the event kicking off at 7pm CET in Barcelona – that’s 9am AEDT on the 27th of Feb for those of us here – at the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya. While it would be nice to attend the launch in person, a trip to Spain isn’t on the cards for most so Samsung will be live-streaming the press event and showing off new devices on their YouTube channel as well as on samsung.com/galaxy
The Ausdroid team will be on the ground in Barcelona for the press events and the Mobile World Congress show itself, so get ready to see what Samsung has in store.
Curved edge screen?
If they’re only releasing a 9.6″ model, i hope it has curved edges like the S7 edge.. would make for a very slender large screen tablet.
