Google’s Wear OS is seemingly very stagnant at the moment but Google of course are hard at work improving it for all users. Today they have begun rolling out an update to Wear OS bringing it up to version 2.3.

Several Wear OS smartwatches have today started receiving the new update signalling that the new update is rolling out across the entire OS. Google have not revealed what the new update brings although it has been noticed that the Home app is now version 2.21, up from 2.20 on the previous Wear OS version.

Google Play Services, Android versions and security patches are all NOT updated so it is suspect that update brings bug fixes that are under the hood somewhere. At the same time it is not the new Wear OS Version H that we have been expecting since November. H version was meant to bring a host of new changes to the OS including an improved battery saver mode but has not made an appearance on most smartwatches.

Today’s new Wear OS update has not made it to our smartwatches yet but we expect it to roll out over the next week or so. Let us know in the comments below if you have received the update yourself and if you notice any changes.
