For the next month, customers buying a Huawei P30 or Huawei P30 Pro through Telstra or Vodafone can get a free Huawei Watch GT as well, valued at $399.
Huawei’s P30 series has been remarkably successful for the Chinese manufacturer, with more than 100 million units shipped worldwide.
Larking Huang, Huawei’s Australian managing director, had this to say of the new promotion:
Huawei is a world leader in innovation and we are excited to offer the incredibly popular Watch GT to Vodafone and Telstra customers who purchase a P30 or P30 Pro by 15 August.
Globally, we have shipped more than 2 million smart watches and I know Australians will enjoy using their Watch GT to keep on top of emails and notifications, and track their health and fitness.
There’s also the Huawei P30 Lite, and while that device doesn’t come with a free Watch GT, it does come with a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds (valued at $199 RRP) while stocks last.
As usual, all Huawei promotions are available on the www.huaweipromotions.com.au. Huawei advises that those customers buying through Telstra can claim online through that website, and Vodafone customers will receive their bonus Watch GT directly from Vodafone.
Given the uncertainty of the Android Platform on the Huawei phone. Not sure further investing in their hardware ecosystem, is a wise choice at this stage, no matter how attractive the offer may be.
The Android platform on existing phones – including those that people buy today, tomorrow, or next week – will continue to work regardless of any other changes at Huawei in future.
