Way back at CES in January JBL (a Harman company) announced their Google Assistant-enabled premium headphones, the Everest 710GA headphones. A few weeks ago we noticed them appear on the JBL website but were unavailble to purchase. Now they are.
JBL have announced that their new Everest 710GA over-the-ear premium headphones with Google Assistant built in are now available to purchase, shipping in a weeks time on the 17th of November. The Everest 710GA headphones come equipped not just with JBL’s Pro Audio Sound but also with Google Assistant. Google Assistant integration allows the user to control their music experience with voice integration only — Google Assistant is activated using the touch sensor son the ear cups.
The headphones come with a built-in echo-cancelling microphone for “crystal clear hands-free calls” and a battery that promises 25 hours of entertainment with a quick recharge of just two hours.
“Optimising the Everest line for the Google Assistant is another step we’re taking to pair JBL’s legacy of award-winning sound with a growing line-up of voice-controlled devices…. [This means] you can stay connected to more of what matters to you, whether that’s enjoying music, getting information about the world around you or managing your daily tasks- just by using your voice.”Marcus Fry, Brand Activation Director of AUNZ at HARMAN
Not only do the JBL Everest 710GA headphones promise great sound but also comfort. The over-ear design combined with the curved headband eliminate that annoying pressure on the ears and the memory foam on the ear cushions help to produce that comfortable fit.
The JBL Everest 710GA headphones are available in Gunmetal and Mountain Silver colours and come with a hard case which they fold down to fit into. The headphones sell for $299.95 from the JBL website and where ever good headphones are sold.
If you are interested head on over to the JB website and check them out or you can wait until we put them through their paces in the coming weeks to hear our verdict on them.
