In around a week, Samsung will be taking to the stage in New York to unveil what’s believed to be the larger version of their S6 Edge, apparently named the Galaxy S6 Edge+. While the handset is all but certain and we know a lot about the specs, it seems that Samsung has a weird clip-on keyboard attachment for the phone which will be sold as an accessory.
The image comes courtesy of leaker extraordinaire Evan Blass via his @evleaks Twitter account, which shows off the attachment which appears to cover the bottom ¼ of the screen.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen awkward keyboard attachments, but it sure does take away from what looks to be quite a good looking aesthetic of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge design language. The only good news is that Samsung’s history of actually getting some of their more eclectic designs to market isn’t that great.
Not a bad idea if this attachment did not take up valuable screen space.
It would be better if the keys were on a flip case cover for use in landscape mode similar to logitech tablet keyboard cases.
Or better yet do something similar to the Motorola Milestone range.
My wife looked across at my tablet and said “that looks awful”.
Go home Samsung. You’re drunk.
Is this something that was the result of samsung and bbm collaboration ?
