We’ve reviewed several BlueAnt devices in the past and have been impressed by the value offered. With the release of the XT100, we’re excited to see what they deliver on a larger scale. The XT100 is a soundbar for your living space that offers not just audio to immerse you into your viewing but also a solution for music too.

The XT100 costs just $349.00, making it a great value offering and is Dolby Atmos compliant, offering excellent audio quality with spatial and depth improvements, although this is without a subwoofer. BlueAnt CEO Taisen Maddern commented on this:

Everything a subwoofer provides comes part and parcel with the XT100; simply put, it’s a beast, and it’s the affordable premium soundbar Australians have been crying out for,” he said. β€œWe knew there was a need for a new player on the soundbar stage. Australians don’t just want a soundbar that is slightly better than a TV speaker and has no punch.

They want to hear more and feel more when they invest in a soundbar. They want premium sound, and they want it to be louder than their TV speakers, and the market has been missing this with speakers in this price range.

The specs of the XT100 cover:

  • 2.0CH with Dolby Atmos 1.7 – compatible with Dolby Vision
  • HDMI eARC and CEC functionality – crystal clear, with no latency audio
  • 2x 50W amplifiers built in
  • Four built-in and customisable EQ modes – Game, Movies, Music and Voice
  • 2.5kg weight
  • Bluetooth 5.1 capable (A2DP, AVRCP) and has an AUX cable option

There is a promise of more devices to come from BlueAnt soon, with the XT100 available from Telstra online or direct from the BlueAnt website.

If this has as powerful a sound as their X2 Bluetooth speakers, then this will be seriously LOUD.
Unfortunately, this is a speaker I’ll be unlikely to get to try. No television at present, and once I do get one, I’ll be connecting it to my home theatre receiver and associated 5.1 speaker system.
