Huawei’s press conference at MWC 2019 is just about to get underway (I’m sitting in the audience as I write this) and before anyone’s even taken the stage, Huawei has confirmed publicly what will be announced and shown off the product, before journalists in the venue have even heard what the product is.

Some of the Ausdroid guys are taking in a bit of sightseeing before attending this afternoon’s press events ahead of the formal start of MWC 2019, and there’s been some curious livery added to many of Barcelona’s major buildings.

As you can see in the montage below, Huawei has taken out huge advertising spaces around the city showing off the new Huawei Mate X foldable phone.

We don’t have any real details to share with you at this time, but as you can see these advertising banners are very similar to those leaked two days ago.

If you’re watching at home, check out the live stream which should be starting momentarily – we’ve got it live on Ausdroid here.

We’ll share what we learn about the Huawei Mate X as soon as we can!
