With rumours of a pending Pixel release growing, it’s not really a shock to see more leaks emerging. This time, we see some further specs on the Pixel 5a.

According to their source, Android Police have information pertaining to the delivery of components being delivered to repair shops. A particular point of note is the 4,680mAh battery which is the largest of any Pixel device to date. Given the propensity of 5G to quickly consume battery, it’s presumably to combat that need.

Whether the delivery of parts is normal practice in the USA or not, we’re not 100% sure, but it’s a good sign launch is close. In fact, their source says the device is to be launched on the 17th (in a few hours time for us) of August. Either way, not long to wait for this it seems and the Pixel 6 range isn’t far off either so stay tuned.

This will be a very short-lived statement – Pixel 6 Pro will have a 5000mAh battery, and the Pixel 6 will have about the same battery size as the 5A.

Too bad we can’t get 5a here. We will wait some months for the 6.
