Android 5.0.2 images are now available for a number of Nexus devices, so it’s time to make sure your Nexus is up to date with the latest software.

Make sure you check out our How To on side-loading an OTA update to be sure you install the updates properly!

We’ll update as we receive more links, so keep sending them in.

The 2012 Nexus 7 3G link is wrong – its named …-razorg-… and should be …-nakasig-…

2012 Nexus 7 completely unusable after OTA Lollipop update.. wishing I could downgrade.

IMHO if you haven’t got lollipop yet, don’t stress! I’m really not that excited by lollipop. Aside from a triangle, a square and a circle at the bottom of my screen, it really hasn’t brought anything very special to the table. For the first time in 4 years I’m considering going a non-nexus for my next phone purchase.

My wife’s Nexus 7 2012 model has been a real dog since upgrading to Lollipop. Can’t use it for about 5 minutes after power up and after a day gets real slow and has to be rebooted, apps that need their cache cleared out every day or two to keep them working. Would like to go back to ICS, at least she had no problems with that version..

You’re telling me. My 2012 Nexus 7 is incredibly slow. Even after a fresh boot loading the app draw almost crashes the entire device. It really was a cheaply made device from the on set.

Nexus 7 never had ICS, it was released with Jellybean.

Got the update on my N10 a few days ago, seems good!

Got the update this morning OTA for my Nexus 7 (2013) Wi-Fi.

I’m really disappointed that my N7 2013 LTE still hasn’t gotten any version of Android 5 at all. I bought a Nexus device to get timely updates and this has certainly not happened.

Does anyone have any ideas what the hold up is?

Do you have a Telstra SIM in it? If so, pop the SIM and check again.

Chris Croft

Nothing to do with Telstra. The Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 mobile versions do not have a 5.0 update or factory images. It’s annoying there has been no update nearly 3 months after the release of Lollipop.

It’s a disgrace. The LG G3 has released Lollipop and Google hasn’t upgraded its latest tablet with mobile data. Nexus devices by their very nature are supposed to receive the updates first. Google really seems to have dropped the ball with this and the Nexus 6. I’ll be sticking with Sony and LG models from now on.

I honestly don’t know why people are so desperate to get updates almost instantly. Even when I had a nexus device I wasn’t too phased about getting them quickly. I’d rather wait and get it and enjoy a proper smooth experience then a bunch of bugs like I’ve been reading about lately.
