In the aftermath of the release of any version of Android we of course get comments from manufacturers announcing which of their devices will be updated. HTC, or at least their US arm has commented on social media announcing which phones will see some delicious chocolate biscuit.
As expected, the list of phones is aimed squarely at recently released models. HTC has advised that three phones will see the update – though they’re quick to note that more devices will be announced, so if your phone isn’t listed, don’t worry (at least just yet).
We're excited to bring Android Oreo to HTC U11, HTC U Ultra, and HTC 10 owners worldwide! Details & additional devices to be announced soon.

Twitter does only have 140 characters, so their social media can’t list every device that’s come out of late. Of the devices not listed, it’s likely the HTC U Play will also get the Oreo update and we’re hopeful their A series will get a tasty treat as well. The Desire line hasn’t had the greatest history with updates, so we’re not holding our breath there.
It’s early days yet, so we’ll be following a long for any further updates.
