Hey You
Summer in Australia is all about sports. The Cricket season is well under way, but as we hit January we’re moving into Tennis territory and the big jewel in the crown of Tennis Australia is the Australian Open which starts in Melbourne on the 18th. With a traditionally hot forecast for the event, Hey You is looking to solve the problem of getting snacks and cool drinks to your seat without missing any of the on-court action.

Hey You was born of a merger of popular coffee ordering app Beat the Q, ecoffee card and Posse. If you’ve been using Beat the Q you’ll know the app is now known as Hey You, but still offers the ability to order, pay, gain loyalty rewards and find great new places within the app.

Hey You has now partnered with the folks at Rod Laver arena for the Australian Open and will let customers in the VIP sectionspre-order food and drinks through an app, right to their seats. The app is available for Android, iOS and strangely Windows devices for free and presents a pain free way to get those delicious snacks.

Rebekah Campbell, CEO and Co-founder of Hey You said;

We know how exciting it is to catch all of the action at the Australian Open and how devastating it can be to miss crucial moments due to badly timed refreshment breaks. Thatโ€™s why we have teamed up with the Rod Laver Arena to make sure that customers can catch all of the action this year and receive a truly personalised VIP service.

The service is only available for those seated in the VIP section, but as this is only the first time the app has been in use at Rod Laver arena we hope it expands further.

If you are in a VIP seat for the Australian Open, it’s quite easy to get into the action.

  1. Download the Hey You app to your device
  2. Search for Tennis Australia in our app and enter the code AusOpen
  3. Order from a selection of drinks and snacks
  4. Wait patiently; these guys are travelling on foot (waiting times may vary)
  5. Receive and enjoy your delivery straight to your VIP seat
  6. Sit back, relax and enjoy not missing a second of the action

If you’re not attending the Australian Open, there’s still hundreds of venues you can check out and use Hey You with in the app. It’s a great Australian app and you really should check it out now. If you’re going to the tennis though, remember to slip, slop, slap, seek and slide but have a great time.
