Google has today added a new feature to their Docs, Slides and Sheets apps for Android, which brings in a new level of functionality on mobile which previously was only available on desktop. With their latest update, the Google Docs, Sheets and Slides for Android apps will begin showing comments in docs as you edit them.

The update, which doesn’t seem to be live on my devices yet, you can use the commenting system within Docs, Sheets and Slides from your Android device. For those not familiar, any comments you add in a doc via the comment bubble that appears on the right side of a doc. Google has also simplified the process of adding new collaborators, simply by typing their name if they’re in your contacts list or their email address if you know it.

The rollout will progress over the next week or so, so keep an eye out for the updated Slides, Sheets and Docs apps in Google Play.
How do you find the full productivity experience on mobile devices? What features do you think are needed before it could fully replace a desktop machine?
