Google’s S Suite team have announced a new feature today that I have been screaming for: templates. For those of you familiar with productive suites and reoccurring tasks, say like writing a device review, you would know the benefits of having a single template, that you can’t accidently save over, that you can open and have all of the formatting and layout exactly the same.

If you’re not familiar with it, take my word it’s a great feature when you need it. Today’s update to G Suite will bring with it the ability to save a Doc, Sheet, Slide or Form as a template for later use and re-use. If you have a corporate account with G Suite for Education or business those templates can be made available to all and you can require approval before a template is shared.

We’re not seeing the update as yet so we’re unclear on the specifics of how all of the functions work, but you can bet we’ll b e trying them out.
