Since the first generation, we’ve seen continual growth in features on the Ring Video Doorbell Range. The Ring Video Doorbell 4 brings with it the full feature set from the Video Doorbell 3 with one major change: Colour Pre-roll.
While it might not seem like a massive change, this is the first battery-powered device to carry the feature. It also gives an extra four seconds of footage and yet, still manages to have decent battery life. You can customise so many features within the Ring app for all of their devices now including:
- Motion detection (people, animals, cars) and detection zones
- Notificaitons options
- Pre-roll options
- Compatibility with Alexa
