Well how about that, the HTC EVO 3D has recently popped up on Optus’ website ready for the masses to bask in its 3D glory. Optus are offering the EVO 3D for $0 upfront on their $79 cap, which sees it on the high-end of town when it comes to pricing.

If you’re not currently aware of what the EVO 3D is all about, here are some of the specs: 1.2GHz Dual-Core CPU, 4.3-inch qHD 3D Display and 2x 5MP Cameras — imagine a 3D version of the HTC Sensation. I’ve played with the EVO 3D — Matt’s review will be up in the coming days — and it gave me a headache most of the time I used it, so I’m going to tell you straight up that you’ll need to go into a store to try it out before you buy one.

The HTC EVO 3D isn’t the first 3D phone on Optus, earlier this year they started the 3D trend by launching the LG Optimus 3D — it has a better 3D display, IMHO. The EVO 3D has also been available on Telstra and Vodafone since late July / early August.

Here’s what comes in the box when you purchase the EVO 3D from Optus:

  • HTC Evo 3D Handset
  • 8GB mSD
  • USB Cable
  • USB Charger
  • 3 x 3D Games
  • Quick Start Guide
  • Health & Safety Guide
  • 24 months Warranty Statement
