After confirming this morning that the long awaited Android Wear 2.0 update had begun with three watches now receiving the OTA update, it appears owners of other Android Wear watches will have to wait a little longer

The OTA update for Android Wear 2.0 will continue to flow to owners of the Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10 and Tag Heuer Connected, but updates to other watches have been delayed with Google confirming this to Wareable in a statement:

We have started rolling out the Android Wear 2.0 update to Fossil Q Founder, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch WSD-F10 and Tag Heuer Connected. For other devices, the update is currently being delayed due to a bug found in final testing. We will push the update to the remaining devices as soon as the issue is resolved.

Google first announced the Android Wear 2.0 update on February 9th, and it’s taken until today for news of the update to begin rolling out to any supported watches. These long delays are frustrating many users of watches apparently set to receive the Android Wear 2.0 update, but I’d prefer my update bug free.

According to a number of manufacturers such as Polar, the update will start flowing to their watch next week, but even that may now be delayed. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

Can someone explain to me why they’d release the update *before* final testing? How does that even work? Why would they do that?

It asked if I wanted to sync my contacts, I went through that process, then it asked the question again. There is definitely issues with the update process, but it does appear to work. Feels much more like an Android OS on a watch than… Read more ยป

this is b. s. this should not effect the huawei watch. it had a working developmer preview forever now so why are we still waiting? and I if it was good enough to say they were going to release it then the bug must not be that crucial and Could be patched.
