Optus HTC One X Jelly Bean Update
Last we saw from Optus the status of the Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X was ‘4.1 Jelly Bean Approved by Optus Manufacturer to release’ and it looks like Optus HTC One X owner Dwayne is currently receiving that update. Dwayne sent us a screenshot of his phone downloading a near 360MB update which would correspond with an update to Android 4.1.

Optus HTC One X Jelly Bean

Most OTA updates are rolled out in stages over the course of a week or so, but to prompt your phone to check for a software update you can go to Settings > About Phone > Software Update > Check now for update.

Let us know in the comments if you have received your Jelly Bean update on your One X, remember we love to hear about device updates, so if you see your device receive an update let us know via twitter or email.

Thanks: Dwayne.

Can’t get it 🙁

Tony

Figured it out!

I turned off the ‘Fast Boot’ function under ‘power’. Turned off, turned on, tried again, and there it was!

Hope this helps others.

Cool beans.
This’ll put 3 out of 4 phones in my house on Jellybean.
Excellent.

Is it me or does it seem that the quality of pictures has gone down? I also don’t see expanding notifications? Other then that, HTC have done well with the update. Buttery smooth.

mine seems to have trouble focusing.

Make sure you reboot your phone after the small update for the battery so the Jelly Bean update comes through.

Max
