PokeDetector is a great little companion app to PokemonGo that gives you real time alerts on your Android Wear device as to the proximity of wild Pokemon near your location. In fact, when you open the app on your device it shows you an overlay on a GPS map interface exactly where you can find them. Great news for those of you who want to catch them all and keep your friends in the process.

But what’s it like on your battery life?
It doesn’t seem to have a detrimental effect on the phone battery
My Moto 360 is dying about 30 mins earlier each day… but I’m home by then so I don’t care. 😀
The reason it doesn’t effect battery life much is that it isn’t an Android Wear app. Its just an app that creates notifications and because notifications are shown on Android Wear watches, this gets shown.
