Android Wear - Title
According to a new report from CNET over night, next week’s consumer electronics show in Berlin, IFA could see four new Android Wear watches launched.

The report lists upcoming releases from four manufacturers, Asus, Huawei, LG and Motorola as due at events next week. The Asus ZenWatch 2, the re-release of the Huawei Watch shown off initially at Mobile World Congress earlier this year, an Android Wear version of LG’s LTE version of the Watch Urbane and the very well leaked Motorola Moto 360.

The two most well known watches, the Asus ZenWatch 2 and Moto 360 2015 have been seen a bit of late. The Asus ZenWatch 2 has all but been confirmed for next week in their teaser video, and Motorola has been extensively field testing their revamped Moto 360 2015 around the streets of Chicago.

The Huawei Watch hasn’t been seen publicly since the launch at Mobile World Congress, though rumours of delays due to issues with Android Wear have certainly circulated, but a rumoured alliance with Google for a Nexus phone may have had a side effect of smoothing over any issues making a slightly tweaked Huawei Watch ready for launch.

The last watch, an LTE version of the LG Watch Urbane is the most interesting point, with Android Wear currently not supporting LTE – at least in their public announcement of the latest update. The LTE LG Watch Urbane uses WebOS to connect to the internet so it will be interesting to see what becomes of this.

Ausdroid will be live on the ground at IFA this year for all the announcements, and we look forward to bringing you hands-on video and pictures of all the announcements.
